I am usually busy with painting commissions when I am not exhibiting or teaching. Very often I am asked to paint as a gift for a friend or relative. Commissioning a painting, drawing or design is a simple process. You may have an idea in mind, for example a Ruby Wedding (see below, the table with wine and bread on). This was a large painting for a big occasion. I was given items they wanted to be included, the couple were always off to France, they loved reading and French food... from here it took shape until the final rich coloured painting you see here.
