This acrylic painting is part of a mini series of works on canvas. Painted in 2015 for the Brighton Open Houses in May I hoped to capture movement and a connection between the two dancers. This painting has lots of drawing and I use pens filled with paint to achieve the drawing quality.
A medium sized painting, it comes in a light wooden frame and has been exhibited at the Brighton Art Fair, September 2015
A medium to large piece, signed and ready to hang.

I love working in mini series and here is another; Cuban and Cuban dance canvases with dancers in motion. The paintings originate from drawings completed whilst watching Cuban ballet on YouTube. Such vitality and energy and a real passion. I loved painting these vivid colours onto the lovely dark grey backgrounds. The transition from using oils to acrylic was quite a revelation, suddenly I had fluorescent colours that worked so well against dark colours, it was all I felt I needed to help give the dancers energy and light.

A medium to large piece, signed and ready to hang, it looks very striking both on a light and dark wall.
