Having a deadline has its advantages and pitfalls. At first it is very inspiring with a goal to work towards. As it gradually gets nearer it is a case of really getting into painting without worrying - easy said. Today is the deadline and I have done it so relax! Now I have done as much as I could possibly fit into a very short time frame a strange feeling has crept in - I want to keep going!
Normally I plan way ahead but due to major renovations of the studio over the last months, I wasn't able to slosh paint around at home so had to wait. I was eager/desperate to get into the beautiful space and although it had no doors I was able to for a while to get these paintings done.
I now have 17 new paintings on paper in two sizes 'large and small'. A collection of them are off to the Affordable Art Fair in October for the first time. I am excited about this and will have invites for my mailing list. The new paintings come as framed and unframed and are based on Figures in Motion.
