The last weeks have been pretty busy, I held my first online sale here on my website, lots of interest and sales too.
One of the paintings ‘Quests’ has found a new home as has ‘Transition’ and ‘Winter Dance’.
The sale also coincided with my exhibition at the Brighton Open House (celebrating 20 years) . It’s always nice to sell paintings as that is one of my goals but my other goal is to connect with people through my paintings. Sure I would like to sell my paintings but I very am interested in getting to know people and show them my work, I suppose you could say this is one of my reasons for creating my paintings.
I love holding conversations about my paintings and hearing what other people think of them when they first see one for the first time. This is is why I love exhibiting at the Brighton Open House as I get time to chat to visitors in an informal setting if they want to. When I am not exhibiting paintings offline then I want to communicate with my audience online. Adding a sale attached to a painting every now and then is a huge thank you to everyone who is on my mailing list and, although I realise that some people are not in a position to buy one, having the conversations online and off line makes all the difference to my sometimes solitary painting existence, so thanks!
