For the 2014 Brighton Art Fair I am sharing a stand with the fabulous ceramicist Frances Doherty. Frances' work is vibrant and large scale and we have exhibited together many times over the years. This year we have gone all out and have a large stand.

The 'Current Paintings' section shows my latest work. It has evolved in varying degrees and although I have been drawing and painting the figure now for 20 years it seems as if I am constantly 'refreshing' and revisiting how I can portray the figure.

Sometimes it feels as if I am fluctuating but essentially my paintings follow form with the drawing process. Stripping back to give white backgrounds and pure line with fleeting colour aids my need for the figures to move or appear moving. I will be exhibiting the figurative, square paintings from this collection at the Brighton Art Fair at the end of September and I am excited as to how they will look.
